Our target is to raise €1000 to help with the purchase of this critically important life-saving equipment which will be there for all of us who use this wonderful beach. The purchase of the equipment is expensive but it's the longterm servicing and maintenance of defibrillators that poses the bigger challenge. We will to contribute to this aspect of the project also by supporting the Rathmullan Community DeFib Watch which looks after the maintenance and upkeep of all the defibs in the Rathmullan community.
Kinnegar has a core team of 14 players, bolstered for the summer months by a great collection of interns and students who help carry the extra weight in peak season. We're also going to be joined in our effort by some former teammates who will participate from such far-flung fields as Munich, New York and Vancouver.
Between us all, there will be someone running, cycling, hiking, swimming, horse riding or rollerblading from 3pm on Friday 28th, straight through until 3pm on Saturday 29th July. We'll update you on the rota as soon as we have it figured out!
If you'd like to donate, big or small, you can do so by clicking on the GoFundMe link here.
We'll also donate all proceeds from your first beer in our K2 Taproom between Friday and Saturday to the kitty. Now, time to get stretching!

*The Kinnegar is the beach on Lough Swilly after which Kinnegar Brewing is named. You'll find it just north of Rathmullan in Co Donegal. The name Kinnegar derives from the Irish word coinín (rabbit). The sand dunes along the beach were once an extensive coinicéar (rabbit warren). Read more about our rabbit story here.
24 hours of walking, cycling, running, swimming, horse-riding, roller-blading, and more as the Kinnegar team raises funds for a cause close to our Kinnegar hearts. This year we're doing it in aid of a defibrillator for the beach that gave our brewery its name.
