Food Coast Donegal is a good food initiative driven by local producers and enabled by Donegal's Local Enterprise Office (LEO). You can find out more about the initiative here and see a directory of producers here.
The vision of The Donegal Food Strategy is to collectively work together to make Donegal famous for food and to make Donegal recognised as a pioneering region for its approach to fostering and growing new start-up and existing food businesses. Donegal’s Good Food Initiative aims to grow, support, promote and facilitate the food and drink producers and manufacturers of the region; the retailers supplying local produce and the hospitality outlets working with locally sourced ingredients. As part of the Initiative it is proposed to raise awareness of food from within the county through the roll-out of The Food Coast brand.
This May bank holiday weekend look forward to a wonderful little Farmers Mini Market under the brewery roof and against the unique mountainous backdrop of Kinnegar's stainless steel fermenters. Fill your shopping basket and then stay on for a sociable pint in the Taproom before heading home to enjoy your bounty!
We'll be welcoming fellow members of Food Coast Donegal who will together offer a lovely little range of high quality locally produced food and drink products.
