Farmhouse beers from Donegal

Kinnegar’s Easter Bunny

White Rabbit

These days there are so many beer events on the festival landscape that it’s hard to keep track of them, let alone attend them. One of the longest standing and most revered celebrations of craft beer in the country is the Easter Festival at Corks’s Franciscan Well, right smack bang in the middle of the city.

Even though we were tied up in Donegal, Kinnegar got a great spin out in Cork thanks to Mark Cadden and Phil Tavey from our distributers, Grand Cru. Mark knows the birthplace of the product he represents better than most: his grand aunt was one of Rathmullan’s much loved grand dames, Dympna Maguire, while his parents, Eugene and Eileen, retired to Rathmullan a couple of years ago and now enjoy life in our own community.

Mark and Phil get top Kinnegar marks for their splendid point of sale display at the Franciscan Well. And good news for his legion of fans — the White Rabbit will be back on the landscape for a lengthy summer spell.
