Autumn / Winter Beer Series at The Taproom
Summer may be behind us but the quieter days of autumn and winter offer an ideal opportunity to broaden your beer-loving horizons with some seasonal education. Our Autumn/Winter Beer Series will fine tune your sensory faculties and expand your knowledge and appreciation of the drink you love.
Over the course of four sociable evenings, we’ll talk about and taste the incredibly diverse world of beer. The series kicks off with :
Around the World in Eight Beers (25 Sept)
An Introduction to Beer Styles and Trends
We’ll sample eight carefully selected beers to illustrate the differences between the German, Belgian, English, Irish and American beer traditions and cultures. (And if we don’t achieve it in eight beers, we’ll just add a couple more!)
After this grand overview, we’ll dig deeper into the details with:
Bock, Doppelbock, Märzen und Helles (16 Oct)
Bavarians and Their Beers
Get Yer Funk On (20 Nov)
