Farmhouse beers from Donegal

Celebration of 2014 Ryder Cup captain’s Donegal roots begins this weekend at Bloom

Kinnegar celebrates the deep Donegal roots of Ireland’s first Ryder Cup captain with its latest special brew, Otway. Although we know that Paul McGinley is a proud Guinness drinker, the beer that honours him is a very drinkable 4.2% pale ale perfect for the the long light days of a sporting summer.

Otway is named after one of the world’s oldest and quirkiest golf links. Overlooked by an iconic napoleonic fort, the course lies just up the coast from Rathmullan. This is the spot where generations of the famous player’s family learned to master the notoriously tricky conditions of links play.

Otway debuts on draught at Bloom in the Phoenix Park this weekend and will be available in bottles next week, proudly sporting its European team blue label.
